    • Pines and palms, excellent swimming, sandy bay with a sheltered cove on the south end, north – surf
    • South – turn off kuhio highway onto Kuhuihale Rd at mile marker 13, drive a mile down -> turn onto the dirt beach rd
    • North – Aliomanu Rd at mile marker 14 and park in the sandy lot

    • North End: Aliomanu Rd -> Kalalea View Dr for 0.5 mi -> stop at beach access sign
  6. Keālia Beach
    • Local surfers, boogie boarders & sunbathers frequent this beach with picnic pavilions & bathrooms.
  7. Kahili (Rock Quarry) Beach
  8. Kauapea (Secrets) Beach + Kīlauea Point National Wildlife Refuge + Kīlauea Lighthouse
  9. Nounou Mountain “Sleeping Giant”
    • East Trail – turn up mauka onto Halelilio Road off of Kuhio Highway (Hwy 56). The parking area for the trailhead is paved and well marked. It is located on the east side of Halelilo Road. The mountain is commonly referred to as “Sleeping Giant”. The Nounou Trail-East is a 1.75 mile hike one way. This is a very clearly marked trail that climbs 1,000 feet above sea level and treats hikers to gorgeous views of the coastal areas of Kapa’a, Makahela Mountain, and Mt. Wai’ale’ale.
    • West Trail (1.5 mile one way) – forest trail
    • South on the Kuamo’o-Nounou Trail (2 mi) – forest trail

    • Hikinaakala Heiau (Rising of the Sun Temple)
    • Hauola Pu’uhonua (the place of refuge of the dew of life)
    • Holoholoku Heiau – quartermile up Kuamo’o Rd on the left
  14. Lydgate (Beach) State Park (a must see)
    • snorkel, 2 good playgrounds, showers, lifeguards, pavilions, picnic tables, 2 pools are protected by the break waters
  15. Kapaa Beach Park
    • Northern end – grassy field, picnic tables and a public swimming pool
    • South end – Lihi Beach, sand
    • Further south – Fuji Beach/ Baby beach – (a must see)для семей с детьми, protected by reef, good for toddlers
  16. Ke Ala Hale Makalae Path, 5 mi between Kapa’a Beach Park and Paliku (Donkey) Beach
  17. Opaeka’a Falls Lookout – 150 ft high, roadside stop (a must see)
  18. Kamokila Hawaiian Village Inc, Kuamoo Road, Kapaa, HI – 4-acre site with reproduction of traditional hawaiian structures (a must see)
  19. Waialeale Blue Hole
    • Take Kuamo’o rd to Keahua Arboretum, park in the lot and hike.
    • Head left onto Wailua Forest Management rd for 1.5 mi
    • You’ll reach a junction, turn right (gate blocks left), go for 2 mi
    • You’ll reach yellow gate for cars, foot traffic ok, go 0.75 mi
    • Arrive at the stream
